Speaker Bio:
Jennifer R. Hudson is passionate about helping clients use powerful and effective communications to strengthen their brand and grow in ways they may have never imagined.
For nearly 25 years, Hudson has developed strategic communications programs targeting multiple stakeholders, facilitated communications workshops, launched new businesses, created marketing communications materials, and garnered notable media coverage for both corporate and non-profit clients.
She recently launched an online communications course, Corporate Messaging for Communicators, for business and nonprofit leaders. This comprehensive, B2B train-the-trainer course is designed to empower leaders who manage communications in their organization with the tools to engage staff in a strategic messaging workshop.
Prior to launching ThinkBeyond, Hudson held senior communications positions at multinational companies. She served as vice president of communications for the southeast USA, Latin America and the Caribbean at British Airways, where she oversaw all external and internal communications in 18 countries. She managed global public relations for Sabre, a travel technology firm and owner of Travelocity, helping the company establish its brand following an initial public offering and split from American Airlines. Before the move to Sabre, Hudson worked in American’s Corporate Communications department where she handled public relations for the Sabre division and served as a Spanish-speaking spokesperson for the airline. She started her career at American as a Spanish Reservations Sales agent and eventually managed a staff of more than 100 in that department.
Hudson mentors entrepreneurs through The Venture Mentoring Team, and is a coach for nonprofit leaders and social entrepreneurs at Radical Partners. She is the 2020 president and past programming chair for the Greater Fort Lauderdale chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, and a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners. Hudson has also been a member, board director, or committee member with the Fort Lauderdale Women’s Executive Committee, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, the South Florida Interactive Marketing Association, FLIPANY, the Greater Hollywood YMCA Family Center, the City of Hollywood Community Development Advisory Board, and Hispanic Unity.
Fluent in Spanish, she has worked throughout Latin America and lived in Spain, England and Mexico. She holds the Accreditation in PR (APR); a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Austin College in Sherman, Texas; and a master’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of North Texas. Hudson adores spending time with her family, delicious food (usually healthy and organic), exercise, and all things Spain.
